The weekly spotlight page is a space for me to promote the work and projects of local artists and creatives of all type, in person and those online! There will be a featured person each week and it rotates as more sign up to be featured! The ideal is to have a new featured artist every Friday! Check out the forms below!

Kara is a traditional artist who creates handmade items on her Etsy shop. Stickers, pins, ornaments, and pendants for necklaces too! She loves to encourage and inspire others with her work, and make the world just a little more colorful. Her items feature everything from general encouragement and positivity to things like Harry Potter, quotes from books and shows, and even classic pieces of art in her pendants! Her shop offers something for everyone and I bought one of the stickers myself. It's the watercolor paint pallet that says: Creativity Takes Courage - A quote from Henri Matisse.

Joy Jaeger

Joy is a traditional artist creating awareness and appreciation for chronic illness and skin conditions through her art. She has a bright and charming style, expressing her vision through a variety of mediums. From acrylics, to watercolor, sketching and recently polymer clay - Joy's art is an instantly recognizable style filled with bright colors and a soft, unique approach to characters and their disabilities.

Christi Darling

Christi is an author, illustrator, and craft maker who loves fantasy, history, and has recently written a gothic novella entitled, "Our Sharp Lives". Her art is similar to what you would find in an old but well-loved book of fairytales. And her reflections and observations on her substack are engaging, intriguing and well-written. Overall, Christi is a welcome respite from the daily grind with her immersive, nostalgic coded, beautiful work, both written and created.

Emma Galloway Stephens

Emma is a poet, professor, and a positively delightful intellectual who has a kind spirit and heart of gold that shows through her ability to listen and to simply sit and be present with someone. Her first book is coming out this month, entitled, "No Billboard Gospel" and a second on the way later in the year. Thought provoking, well written, and beautiful, Emma's poems are a lovely treat for both the new and the experienced.

Drawn to Glory

Created by three sisters with a passion of sharing scripture through art, Drawn to Glory creates prints and tiny tattoos with bible designs, nostalgic touches, art based on classic literature, and so much more. Started from the hand drawn calendars they would make for their family every year, the three sisters have grown in their art, creating an endearing, beautiful, unique, and instantly recognizable style.

If you love expressive, beautifully detailed artwork, Seda is definitely for you and such a joy to explore. Filled with soft, dreamy portraits and imaginative character designs, each piece feels full of personality and emotion. Using traditional techniques in a modern medium, Sarah brings a spark of nostalgic familiarity with her landscapes and buildings. From scenic mountain views to rustic old barns, each location has a story and charm of its own which is beautifully captured. Armed with an iPad and artistic vision, Sarah's Etsy shop provides prints, frames, keychains, and ornaments of her work. They make incredible gifts and elevate any room's decor with her digital artistry.
